Art Nouveau elbow chair with leaf inlay
Our reference: TSP1055
Offered here for sale is a very elegant Art Nouveau solid mahogany elbow chair dating to the Edwardian period. The rosewood veneered central splat is flanked by two curvilinear splats. All splats are decorated with different foliage marquetry inlay. The padded seat, which is raised on square tapering forelegs ending in block feet, is entirely traditionally re-upholstered from the frame by The Sitting Place. The chair is then finished in Winslow fabric by iLiv (henna colour scheme). The leaf inlay of the chair is beautifully mirrored in the pattern of the fabric. This chair would make a very pretty addition to any room such as an entrance, living room or even bedroom. Note that colours on screen may differ slightly from the actual colours.
Approximate dimensions: H 100cm x W 58.5cm x D 47cm; Seat height 43cm
Condition: Very good original condition, beautiful colour throughout, very minor scuffs commensurate with past use and age in particular to the arm supports and the front seat rail.
Price: £295 (excluding delivery)
