Edwardian mahogany tub-shaped desk chair

Offered here for sale is a solid mahogany tub-shaped desk chair dating to the early 1900s. The chair consists of a raised padded show wood back, and open moulded ball arms set above a pair of lateral pierced splats. The conforming serpentine fronted seat is raised on thick cabriole front legs and splayed back legs. The chair is sold with the existing traditional upholstery and turquoise faux leather covering, finished with decorative close nailing. This is a very attractive desk chair, which would add character to a study be it traditional or contemporary. Note that colours on screen may differ slightly from the actual colours.

Condition: Very good original condition, lovely colour, some scratches/scuffs commensurate with past use and age (head rail and front seat rail - see photos), upholstery is in very good condition.
