About this item

Victorian carved walnut stool by W. Richardson & Co

Our reference: TSP1068

Offered here for sale is a high quality walnut stool dating to the Victorian period (c. 1860). The seat bears a metal plaque of the cabinet makers W. Richardson & Co of Darlington. The square seat is raised on elegant carved cabriole legs. The scrolled seat rail is also beautifully carved with central cartouche decorations. The seat is fully traditionally re-upholstered from the frame by The Sitting Place® and finished in stunning Brophy embroidered linen fabric (bayleaf colour scheme) by Morris & co. The design of the fabric is perfectly captured on the seat. As the fabric is embroidered, the stool is recommended for light occasional use. Note that colours on screen may differ slightly from the actual colours.
