Edwardian JAS Shoolbred & Co stool
Our reference: TSP1020
Offered here for sale is a very elegant Queen Anne revival rectangular stool in mahogany and dating to 1900/10. This stool is by the renowned makers JAS Shoolbred & Co, who were established in Tottenham Court London initially as drapers, growing to later become one of the very first large department stores in London to supply quality Victorian furniture at the time. In this example, the seat is raised on cabriole legs with acanthus carving and ending in pad feet. The seat is fully traditionally re-upholstered from frame with firm hand stitched edges by The sitting Place® and is finished off in glorious Perseus fabric by Colefax & Fowler. The stool can be used as a dressing stool or as a foot stool in a lounge/living area (see seat height). Note that colours on screen may differ slightly from the actual colours.
Approximate dimensions (at widest point): H 47.5cm x W 57cm x D 39cm; Seat height: 47.5cm
Condition: Very good solid condition, very minor scuffs and dents commensurate with age and use over the years, structurally sound.
Price: £295 (excluding delivery)
