Aesthetic Movement Small Chair by Druce & Co

Offered here for sale is a very charming Aesthetic Movement black painted small chair with open arms dating to c.1890. This chair is by Druce & Co, Baker Street London (label attached to back seat rail). The chair features stick and rail back and downswept arms resting on turned supports. The seat is raised on turned forelegs and splayed hind legs, the latter two are joined by a simple stretcher. The drop-in seat is fully traditionally re-upholstered by The Sitting Place® and covered in Enchanted wood fabric in ink blue by Emily Bond. The size of this chair is not suitable for an adult (see dimensions). Note that colours on screen may differ slightly from the actual colours.

Condition: Good original condition throughout, various knocks and scuffs commensurate with age and past use, structurally solid
