Offered here for sale is a very high quality Victorian rosewood nursing / ladies chair. The very shapely scrolled padded back features additional carved scrolling on the crested head rail. The serpentine fronted overstuffed seat is raised on carved cabriole front legs and simple outswept back legs. The padded back and seat have been entirely traditionally re-upholstered from the frame by The Sitting Place® and then finished in Ramayana linen fabric (red and blue colour scheme) by GP&J Baker. The rich pattern of this Indienne themed fabric depicts different scenes, where each scene is captured on the inside and outside padded back and on the seat of the chair. This beautiful chair would make a very decorative addition to a bedroom or hallway setting, or wherever an occasional chair is required in an existing décor. Note that colours on screen may differ slightly from the actual colours.
